Sources said that the Mizoram CM is interested in any IAS officer,  who belongs to NE states, especially from Mizoram as next Chief Secretary of the state. Earlier, a Gujarat cadre IAS officer was posted as CS. He was from Mizoram. In the Govt of India, presently V. Vualnam, Secretary, Civil Aviation is the only IAS officer, who belongs to Manipur. He is a 1992 batch IAS officer.
